My son is 1 year old & I have a playgroup set up for Tuesday afternoons at 12:30. The location changes to different playgrounds in South Miami, Coral Gables, & Pinecrest.

This Tuesday, May 19, 2009 we will be meeting at Pinecrest Gardens: 5855 SW 111th St

There is a petting zoo, a playground, and a water park. There are different things to see all around the gardens so even just strollering around may be fun for the kids. The entrance to everything is free. However, the water park costs $3.00 for children over two years old.

Here are some tips for things to bring:

If it is really hot that day, dress lightly because you are constantly outside and it is humid and sticky there.

For the water park it would be a good idea for mommies to wear something that can get wet and maybe something dry to wear home.

For the children: Swim diapers, sunblock, bathing suit, change of clothes, hat to block the sun, water to drink, and a towel that you both can share.

This Tuesday, June 02, 2009. the playgroup will be meeting (weather permitting) at 9 am to 10:30 am at The Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center playground: 405 University Dr Coral Gables, FL 33134 - (305) 460-5600. Please note the TIME CHANGE. My little man's nap schedule has changed so the playgroups will now be at 9 am. And it seems that it has not been raining much in the early morning so I think this is a better time. Please post a reply if you would like to join us.
